Cate Blanchett, a personal favourite, is phenomenal in her portrayal of Jasmine — a high society butterfly spiraling down into hard times. This film is dramatic and funny at the same time.

Cate Blanchett strikes again and this time, with Judy Drench by her side. The film is an actor’s treat to watch.

This film is a must watch for all film-makers and storytellers. One actor in a car - that’s all there is in the film. Yet it has all the ingredients of an impactful watch!

This film should be appreciated for its awesome sound design. Sultan is thoroughly entertaining and has all the ingredients for our sub continental taste buds.

Director: Gregory Hoblit
It’s a law and order mystery drama set in an old-school courtroom. The film marks Edward Norton’s debut as an actor and in my opinion, he gave a very fine performance. His character transitions gives me goose bumps every time I watch the film.

Director: Alfonso Cuarón
Had me at hello! The first long one take sequence of Sandra Bullock in space, in complete silence, had me glued to the theatre seat and crying soon after. What a film!

Director: Vikas Bahl
This is one piece of contemporary cinema that ought to be dissected and analysed in film school. It masters the art of writing great characters, with Kangana giving her career’s best performance.

Director: Nabeel Qureshi
It’s a milestone in Pakistan’s cinematic history and played a major role in steering our current identity towards mainstream, contemporary, commercial Pakistani cinema. The film had me in fits of teary laughter.

Director: Tim Burton
An all-time favourite, Beetlejuice is bizarre, quirky and the kind of fantasy that truly transports you into another realm. It’s over the top songs are ingrained in my mind and favourites on my playlist to this day.

It was a delight to watch a satirical science fiction comedy that was so engrossing. Loved the entire concept. Amir Khan never fails to impress.
