ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid on Friday said Imran Khan was persistently flouting rules of Election Commission (ECP) and considered himself above the law. He questioned what kind of message Imran was sending by continuously violating ECP rules.

Rashid said Imran thought that it was responsibility of others to abide by the law while he himself shredded the law into pieces. He said the PML-N leadership respected the law and followed ECP rules in all by-elections and kept itself away from the election campaign.

“Imran flouted all election rules and despite this, suffered defeat in the elections,” he said. The minister added that people reposed confidence in Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on basis of his performance and service to the nation.

Rashid said ECP should implement its election rules and provide equal opportunities to all sides participating in the polls.
