LAHORE: Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider on Thursday said a strong, stable and democratic Pakistan is necessary to resolve the Kashmir issue. Speaking at a Meet the Editors event organised by the Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE), he said the only acceptable solution to the issue is giving Kashmiris their right of self-determination. He said that the third option of an independent Kashmir will create complexities and the Kashmiris do not support it. The programmed was presided over by CPNE president Zia Shahid. Minister of Information and Tourism Azad Kashmir Mushtaq Minhas , former presidents of CPNE Arif Nizami, Jamil Athar Qazi, Mujeebur Rehman Qazi and other office bearers including Ayaz Khan were also present.
