Earlier this month, Apple unveiled two upgraded versions of its iPhone and a new waterproof smartwatch.

With prices starting at $649 for the 32GB model and $749 for the 128GB model in the United States, there has been enduring public interest in finding out just how much it costs to manufacture a premium mobile like the iPhone 7.

In a video, CNN Money attempts to show how much it costs to make the iPhone using data from teardown.com and Chipworks - part by part.

Here’s the breakdown:

Screen: $37

Battery: $4

Cameras: $26

Logic board: $74

Speakers $11.50

Casing: $22

Other parts: $117.50

It is worth pointing out that the cost breakdown is of the hardware only and doesn’t include the design and software cost.
