Deadly collisions: Two dead, another injured in DI Khan accidents

DI KHAN: At least two people died while another was injured in two separate road accidents in DI Khan on Sunday.

A police official told The Express Tribune a man was killed while his nephew was wounded in the first incident.

“The incident took place in Battiabad,” he said. “Nematullah Gandapur and his nephew Suleman Khan were travelling on a motorbike. Another motorcycle that was travelling in the opposite direction collided with their bike.” According to the official, Gandapur died on spot while Suleman was injured.



“Suleman was subsequently shifted to District Headquarters and Teaching Hospital DI Khan where he is said to be out of danger,” he added.The official said a case has been registered at Saddar police station in DI Khan.  Separately, a man died in a road accident in Mukeem Shah in DI Khan.

A police official told The Express Tribune, the deceased has been identified as Asghar Ali.   “Ali and his brother were travelling on a motor bike that collided with a truck,” he said.  The truck driver managed to escape the site.

The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Yarak police station and a case has been registered against the truck driver. On September 2, at least 51 people were injured in a road accident near Dabara along the main road that connected Tank district with Wana South Waziristan Agency. According to officials, around 27 children were wounded in the accident.
