ISLAMABAD: A package of special trains introduced on the eve of Eidul Azha by Pakistan Railways received overwhelming response from thousands of travelers who visited their loved ones in their native towns.

Pakistan Railways introduced the special trains with improved services on the eve of Eidul Azha to facilitate passengers travelling to their hometowns. The festive trains provided passengers with relief by offering them concessional fares.

A sizable number of families availed the service, with the staff informing travellers about timings, platform numbers, ticketing, and booking issues.

Muhammad Mustafa, a passenger, said that “Pakistan Railways has won the hearts of passengers through the special Eid train services, which has improved greatly.”

Rizwana Akhtar, another passenger, said that her family had ceased the use of trains due to the uncertainty attached to the mode of transport, however, the improved facilities had changed their perception.

Akhtar added that the appeal of reasonable fares led to her decision to avail the service.
