AJK PM says they will brief Nawaz about the current situation in Indian administered Kashmir
MUZAFFARABAD:
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will visit Azad Jammu and Kashmir today (Friday) to meet the Kashmiri leadership and take them into confidence before heading off to New York to attend the UN General Assembly session.
Nawaz is likely to consult with Kashmiri leaders on both sides of the Line of Control (LoC), especially about the situation in the disputed Himalayan region.

During his one-day tour, the premier is likely to meet with a delegation headed by AJK Prime Minister Farooq Haider, President Masood Khan, Speaker Shah Ghulam Qadir in addition to a nine-member delegation of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) led by Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League Chairman Muhammad Farooq Rehmani.
Haider told The Express Tribune that they will brief Nawaz about the current situation in Indian administered Kashmir.
APHC spokesman Pervez Ahmad said they will detail the actions carried out by Indian security forces against civilians.

“We will brief PM Nawaz how Indian forces are making the youth blind [by steel pellets] which was the worst kind of state terrorism from Indian side,” he added.
The APHC delegation comprises of Ghulam Mohammad Safi, Abdul Majeed Mir, Mehmood Ahmad Sagar, Mohammad Farooq Rehmani, Advocate Parvez Ahmad, Yousaf Naseem, Tahir Masood and Mohammad Rafiq Dar.
