Perturbed transporters demand protection

KARACHI: Transporters of the city have demanded security and protection after six vehicles were set ablaze in two different incidents on Thursday.

Karachi Transport Ittehad (KTI) chairperson Irshad Bukhari told The Express Tribune it is surprising that after a long span of peace such incidents have occurred.

He mentioned that transport vehicles which include three buses and a truck were set ablaze at Landhi, Bufferzone, Lee Market and Federal B Area by unidentified people.

We are observing the current situation and if such incidents continue KTI will definitely call for a strike, he remarked.
