Texas high school shooting injures two, shooter dead

Two persons were injured as a man opened fire at Alpine High School in Texas on Thursday, with the shooter later dying of self-inflicted gunshot wound.

According to the CNN, one person was shot and transferred to a local hospital, while the condition of a police officer was not known.

The official was shot accidentally by a marshal while responding to school firing.

The school comprising about 280 pupils, was placed on lock-down initially, the school district added.
