ISLAMABAD:
Terming them ‘baseless and fabricated’, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Wednesday condemned the Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf chairman’s allegations of corruption against the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) chairman.

The PTI chairman on Saturday accused the FBR Chairman Nisar Khan of laundering millions of rupees to Dubai and failing to take any action against the owners of offshore companies to hide his own alleged wrongdoing. Nisar has already denied the allegations.

“Ishaq Dar has taken a strong exception to the PTI chief Imran Khan’s statement wherein he has levelled serious allegations against the FBR chairman,” said a handout issued by the Finance Ministry on Wednesday.

Dar added that Imran Khan had not provided any evidence to support his allegations.
