Realty business: Cityscape Global kicks off in Dubai

Express Media Group’s Pakistani Pavilion attracts investors

DUBAI: Cityscape Global – showcasing some of the most spectacular real estate developments from across the region – kicked off on Tuesday.

The event, now in its 15th year, runs till September 8 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. It was inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The event has a line-up of about 500 international exhibitors from Pakistan, Bahrain, Azerbaijan, Cyprus, the Maldives and from across Europe in an area of 41,000 square metres.

It is the first time that the Express Media Group has set up the Pakistani Pavilion here. Fifteen well-known Pakistani real estate companies are presenting more than 35 projects here.

The Express Pakistan Property Pavilion has seen a rush of visitors to examine the mind-boggling range of development projects. Long queues of people, who wanted to visit the show, were seen right from the beginning of the expo.

The Pakistani pavilion set up by The Express Media Group proved to be the key attraction for a lot of visitors, especially foreign investors and Pakistanis living in the Middle East.

A property conference was also organised where leading experts spoke on the trends that are taking place in the real estate sector across the world. The best projects from across the world were given awards at a ceremony.

Director of Cityscape Global Wouter Molman appreciated The Express Pakistan pavilion. He said the efforts of The Express Media Group will promote foreign investment in Pakistan as well as introduce Pakistan’s property sector at the international level.

The Pakistani business community said the decision of The Express Media Group to bring Pakistan’s real estate sector in Dubai was very good. The 1.5 million Pakistanis living here are happy over this initiative.
