Notified: Mayor becomes acting CDA chief

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday gave the additional charge of Capital Development Authority (CDA) chairman to the Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation (IMC) Mayor Sheikh Anser Aziz. An IMC source said acting charge has been entrusted to the mayor, which was confirmed by an official notification issued on Tuesday night.  Capital Administration and Development Division Secretary Hasan Iqbal had been appointed acting chairman of the authority after Maroof Afzal was transferred from the post on August 22 and posted as an additional secretary in the Establishment Division. Aziz became the first mayor of IMC in February.
