Urging the prime minister to 'come clean on the Panama Papers revelations', Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has announced to march towards Raiwind - Nawaz Sharif's private residence - on September 24.

“Inshallah, on Sept 24 I will bring people from across Pakistan to Raiwind,” he said while addressing a party rally in Karachi’s Nishtar Park on Tuesday. “I am inviting the entire nation to participate in the march.”

The PTI chairman said the premier had destroyed the institutions and will never allow institutional reforms.

Imran accuses ruling party of political trickery

Leaked documents from the Mossack Fonseca law firm in Panama last month showed several world leaders including the premier’s three children – sons, Hassan and Hussain, and his daughter, Maryam – owning at least three offshore holding companies registered in the British Virgin Islands.

Imran said the National Assembly speaker could not save the prime minister from his movement against corruption. “The speaker who grabbed his seat by rigging the elections twice cannot save Nawaz Sharif now,” he said.

PM destroying key institutions to hide corruption: Imran Khan

After Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain delivered his anti-Pakistan speech, Imran said, he decided to show strength in Karachi.

“I want to tell Muhajirs [immigarnts]... they don’t have to prove their loyalties towards Pakistan, and [that they] are ready to sacrifice their lives for the country,” he said.

Criticising Altaf, the PTI chairman said the MQM chief was responsible for introducing terrorism in the country.

“Altaf said in his speech that Pakistan was a centre of terrorism. I want to tell him [Altaf] that it was he who introduced terrorism and imposed fear in the city."

Humza | 7 years ago | Reply @Jordan: Have you forgotten that this guy's kids and his two ex wives live in the UK where he travels often. Have you also forgot that Imran Khan preferred to support his ex brother in law Mr. Goldsmith instead of supporting Sadiq Khan in the London mayoral elections. Imagine if he tried his dharna style politics in the UK and tried to remove an elected PM by mass street protests. By all means let him try all this in the UK and make sure his followers make a public nuisance of themselves by blocking roads, not paying toll taxes and leaving heaps of garbage. Do you think he can get away with all this in the UK? After all Imran Khan set up an off shore account to avoid paying taxes in the UK so idiots like me don;t understand his true value. My problem with Imran Khan ( mind you I am a former PTI member) is that he should work in KPK, complain in parliament and look at the big picture which is the development of a democratic culture which takes a few cycles of maturity - not create anarchy and demand overnight power.
