In Action: CTD Swat arrests militant

The CTD official added the detained militant has been shifted to undisclosed location for interrogation

MINGORA: The counter-terrorism department (CTD) has claimed to have arrested a high-profile militant from Matta tehsil in Swat. “The CTD Swat received a tip-off, following which a key militant, Anwar Ali, son of Amir Gul, resident of Chuprial village in Matta tehsil, was arrested from his secret hideout,” a CTD official said. ”Ali was wanted by the law-enforcement agencies due to his alleged involvement in the assassination of eight policemen in 2009.” The CTD official added the detained militant has been shifted to undisclosed location for interrogation.
