KARACHI: A scuffle between rival inmates belonging to the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) reportedly left three people injured at the Karachi Central Jail on Saturday. The clash started in a meeting ward at the Central Jail between two people affiliated with the rival political groups and the situation worsened when other inmates jumped-in, according to media reports, which claimed that three people sustained injuries. A clash had occurred, a jail official confirmed to The Express Tribune. However, he denied that the people involved were political activists. “There has been no clash between MQM and PSP workers. It was between two inmates who were overpowered by the jail guards,” said the jail official.
