MINGORA: Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa former chief minister Amir Haider Hoti has accused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairperson Imran Khan of turning a blind eye to poor governance in K-P.

“Imran Khan makes tall claims of bringing a system of fair accountability to the province. However, he is ignoring corruption charges levelled by a Swat MPA against the PTI-led provincial government in K-P,” the former CM said on his visit to Swat.

Hoti said PTI chief was hiding the poor governance of his party by resorting to sit-ins. He slammed Imran for mistreating Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif by using the Panama leaks issue. “Imran cannot simply ask the PM to resign from his post because his children’s name feature in Panama Papers.” He added, “The PM cannot relinquish his post until proven guilty in an investigation.”

He stressed that Afghan refugees should be repatriated with dignity. “Afghans are our guests and the government must refrain from harassing and insulting them.”
