ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid on Monday said the recent petition filed by PTI in the Supreme Court contained nothing new.

“All allegations levelled in the petition are old and have been repeated in the last 25 years and proved as false,” Rashid said, while talking to a private news channel.

“The PTI chief Imran Khan, who has crossed all limits in enmity of the PML-N, has failed to level allegation in his petition regarding any kind of corruption, mismanagement or kickbacks in any project of the incumbent government,” he added.

He said no allegation was related to any project under the tenure of any government of the PML-N, rather they were about the personal business of the party chief, Nawaz Sharif.

“The PML-N chief has been elected as the prime minister of Pakistan three times and has completed a number of development projects worth billions of dollars in his every tenure,” he added.

Rashid said the PTI's recent petition was a certificate of honesty for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He said Imran Khan, who has approached the apex court, should trust the judicial system and wait for the verdict.

“The PTI chief should not spread chaos in the streets on the basis of his so called allegations before the court verdict comes,” he said.
