Newborn: Baby found from bus terminal

HARIPUR: Locals found a baby in the corner of a bus terminal in Haripur on Sunday. According to the police and eyewitnesses, a woman, clad in a burqa, appeared from the street near Darband Adda and left something wrapped in a cloth. They added she briskly walked away after leaving the bundle there. When some passers-by went close to the bundle, they found a newborn baby wrapped in it. Locals said the baby was a body and was two days old. However, it has yet to be ascertained why the woman, who is believed to be his mother, abandoned the baby. However, the police was informed. After taking details of the baby, the police handed him to a couple that did not have children.
