"We are committed to purge this city of terrorists and criminals," he said, adding that indiscriminate action against criminals and outlaws must continue.
This he said while talking to Rangers DG Major General Bilal Akbar on the phone at CM House on Saturday.
Rangers DG briefed the CM on the overall law and order situation in the city, particularly on the progress of targeted operations. The intelligence-based operations have restored peace in the city, he said.
The CM said that the hard work of law enforcement agencies, political will of his government, collective wisdom of all the political forces and strong support of citizens are the main contributing factors which led to restoration of peace in the city.
"Now, the big challenge is to sustain this peace," he said, adding that, "We would also encourage arts, crafts and literary activities in the city."
"Enough is enough - I am committed to the people of this city to provide them a congenial atmosphere in which they can enjoy their life, focus on the education of their children and improve their livelihood," he said.
