Food dept issues: Irregulatiries in wheat purchase denied
An official of the department said corruption and commission mafia had been eliminated from the department
PESHAWAR:
The food department denied irregularities in the purchase of wheat by the department. Officials of the department said on Friday they purchased wheat from the federal department and local landlords as per laws and rules. They added equipment and other agricultural products were exempted from tax. An official of the department said corruption and commission mafia had been eliminated from the department and one district food controller and one assistant food controller were removed recently from the services on charges of corruption.
