ISLAMABAD: A three-month roadmap for new development projects and the timely completion of ongoing projects is being developed by the Capital Development Authority (CDA).

Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Minister Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said this after a discussion on Wednesday with the civic agency at the ministry, where widening of Serena Chowk and work on Constitution avenue was also discussed.

Decisions pertaining to administrative and development projects of the agency were reviewed, while the body’s sources of revenue were also discussed.

The minister directed the CDA to complete ongoing works in the next three months timeline and take punitive action against officials whose performance had been poor.

Chaudhry also directed the CDA to start work on the Bhara Kahu bypass to solve traffic problems for locals and to keep traffic flow smooth on Murree Road.

A decision was also taken to inaugurate the Bhara Kahu bypass in the next 45 days. Directions were also issued for carpeting of Constitution Avenue, landscaping around it, and the installation of new streetlights and footpaths for pedestrians in the area.

Once completed, he suggested making the ‘new look’ Constitution Avenue a model for the rest of the city.

The CADD minister directed CDA officials to complete beautification work around the avenue before November and for allottees in Park Enclave-I and II to be provided possession of their plots without further delay.

He said all hindrances in development of Kuri Model Village must be addressed, and that the remaining development work in I-15 and C-15 must be completed without delays.

Directions were also issued for the widening of Serena Chowk, along with the laying of an alternate slip road.

He also sought details from CDA officials regarding encroachment of government land and directed it to speed up action against encroachments.

He also told CDA officials to complete work on the Koral Interchange before November instead of simultaneously starting work on the Khanna Pul and Sohan interchanges.

Brekhna | 7 years ago | Reply What an irony, the representative of the land grabbing mafia in Pindi/Islamabad is also the representative of people and is running the affairs of country's richest development authority. Islamabad had never been this filthy with garbage all around and people grabbing land where ever they want.
