HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad police claim to have arrested two suspects who were allegedly involved in the cracker blast on August 14 in Hyderabad which left 14 persons injured.

At a press conference on Friday, SSP Hyderabad Irfan Baloch went on to link these attacks with Indian spy agency Research and Analysis Wing's (RAW) conspiracies to sabotage the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

"The RAW is using banned nationalist groups to sabotage CPEC," he said.

According to the SSP, three suspects riding a motorbike hurled an explosive device on a pushcart selling lassi [buttermilk] on Independence Day, injuring 11 people.

The suspects, identified as Masroor Thebo, former district Hyderabad president of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz, and Noor Hassan Bachu, were arrested in a raid near the Hyderabad railway station. The third suspect, Rehman Pirzada, is still at large.
