ISLAMABAD: Lawyers have stressed upon the need for foolproof security of the district courts at F-8 Markaz. Around 5,000-6,000 people visit the courts in F-8 Markaz to pursue their cases and around 100 judges sit at various courts, Islamabad District Bar Association President Muhammad Tayyab said.

Tayyab noted that a few walkthrough gates were also out-of-order. The reservations about security measures had already been conveyed to the Islamabad Capital Territory Administration and police, he said.

“These are technical aspects and it is up to them how to cover them,” he added.

An Islamabad Police official said security had been tightened in Sector F-8 and around lower courts.

He said all available resources were being utilised for the purpose and a boundary wall had been erected around the courts, besides installing walkthrough gates at entry points.

More than 150 policemen personnel had also been assigned to perform security duties there, he added.

He said six police pickets had been erected in the vicinity of the courts, while the rapid response force was continuously patrolling there.
