Suit ‘A lion cub, four deer were stolen from my house’

LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge directed the Wahdat Colony SHO to record the statement of a man seeking a case against a group involved in the theft of a lion cub and four deer. Petitioner Rauf Rehman told the court that he ran an animal trade business. He said on July 25, when he was away, Asim Moulvi, Muhammad Hussain and four unidentified men had broken in to his house and stolen four deer and a lion cub. He said the men were loading the animals in their van his brother spotted them from the first floor. He said he had tried to stop them but they had managed to flee.  He said he had approached the Wahdat Colony SHO but he had not registered an FIR about the incident. He asked the court to direct the SHO to register an FIR against the suspects. The judge said an SHO was required to take action when approached with a complaint. He said the SHO must record the statement of the complainant.
