KARACHI: Pakistan and Iran enjoy close and cordial relations based on their historical binds of culture traditions, religion and ethnicity, said Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce (FPCCI) and Industry Vice President Riaz Khattak.

Speaking at a meeting, with Iran Ambassador Mehdi Honardoost, Khattak said that Iran has always been helpful to Pakistan and increasing trade between the two countries would further strengthen ties.

Hondaroost encouraged the action and directed the FPCCI to share the information with Iran’s embassy so that they are aware of the potential areas and know how to proceed.  The ambassador urged the Pakistani businessmen to pick up pace of activity and expressed disappointment over Pakistan’s efforts to enhance ties in the past three decades.
