Commendable feat: Police officials receive awards for unravelling murder cases

Certificates, cash prizes distributed among officers by IGP Nasir Durrani

PESHAWAR: The police officials in DI Khan were conferred awards by IGP Nasir Durrani for unravelling two murder cases and duly carrying out arrests in both cases.

According to a press release issued on Tuesday, the awards were distributed during a ceremony at Central Police Office on Tuesday. “Sub-inspector Muhammad Adnan, Investigation Incharge Sub-inspector Ghulam Bashir Khan, ASI Zakiuddin and constables Farman Ali, Muhammad Asghar, Taimoor Yasir received the awards,” the statement added.

In addition, Paharpur Police Circle SDPO Ghazi Marjan Khan, Paharpur SHO Saifur Rahman, Investigation Incharge Inspector Yusuf Khan, ASI Muhammad Ayub, Head Constable Muhammad Ismail and Constable Muhammad Sharif were also given cash prizes and certificates.

Murder most foul

“In the first case, a woman and her daughter were murdered by assailants,” the statement read. “During the investigation, the police managed to trace the whereabouts of Junaid.”

As per the press release, he was arrested from Karachi and the weapon used to orchestrate the heinous crime was also seized from his possession. Junaid was also brought to court and confessed to committing the crime.

The police also managed to unravel the mystery surrounding the death of 15-year-old Arshad. The deceased was slaughtered to death while he was grazing his goats. The accused also took away the goats.

“Following the incident, an investigation team was constituted,” the press release stated. “[The team] traced the assailants, Hakim and Gulab, who hailed from Wana, South Waziristan.” The press release added the IGP lauded the efforts made by the police in solving these cases.
