I-Day: Unionists vow to end inequalities

LAHORE: The All Pakistan Workers’ Confederation held a flag hoisting ceremony to mark the Independence Day on Sunday. Earlier, a special meeting was held at Bakhtiar Labour Hall. Speakers paid tribute to those who had sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence. They urged all political parties and civil society organisations to join hands with the working class to establish an egalitarian society in the country. They vowed to end exploitation and inequality in the country. The ceremony was attended by trade unionists from the WAPDA, Railways and Pakistan Telecommunications Corporation.
