Settlement: Convicts challenge their warrants

LAHORE:  

Three people convicted of kidnapping a trader for ransom challenged their death warrants in Lahore High Court (LHC) on Saturday. Warrants for execution of Attiqur Rehman, Muhammad Bashir and Azhar Bashir had been issued for August 16. They submitted that the warrants had been issued despite their having reached a settlement with Zahid Hussain. They termed their death warrants unlawful.  They said death warrants could not be issued following a settlement.
