"To provide security to the judges and lawyers, visitors should park at the new car parking area of the high court bench that is now functional," said Baloch.
Walk-through gates should be installed at the court entrances, along with the presence of law enforcers, directed Baloch. Police have been deployed at the high court entrance and the district court complex, however, installation of the walk-through gates is still awaited.
"It was a long-standing demand to install walk-through gates at the entrance of the court and deploy Rangers personnel," Sukkur High Court Bar Association general-secretary Hadi Bhatt told The Express Tribune. Bhatt is hopeful that the authorities will take up the matter on a priority basis now to avert attacks similar to the Quetta blast.
