A portion of Combined Military Hospital Abbottabad was destroyed when a fire erupted on Saturday morning.
An official privy to the development said the building of an office at the facility was gutted in the inferno. However, other sections of the hospital were not damaged. In addition, patients remained unharmed.
“Firefighters from Cantonment Board Abbottabad and Rescue 1122 workers took part in the rescue operation,” said a Rescue 1122 personnel. A hospital employee suffered burn injuries. Meanwhile, there was neither a confirmation nor denial of the incident from the hospital administration.
