Trade Development Authority of Pakistan Chief Executive Officer Tariq Iqbal Puri said the rising exports indicated that the country will exceed the export target of $20 billion this fiscal. He said export of non-traditional items and recovery of international markets have mainly contributed to the increase in exports.
In spite of the power and gas shortages, the exporters are doing good business in the international market and are competing well with foreign competitors, Puri said, adding the demand for textile has increased considerably.
