Change of command: Mardan RPO posted as CCPO

PESHAWAR: Muhammad Tahir has been posted as CCPO by IGP Nasir Khan Durrani. This was stated in a notification issued by Central Police Office (CPO) on Friday. “Muhammad Tahir was working as Mardan RPO and has been posted after the CCPO Mubarak Zeb Khan left for a professional course and [was] posted elsewhere,” the notification stated. Ijaz Ahmad, who has been on a fellowship overseas, has been posted as Mardan RPO. It is for the first time that the IGP has directly issued a notification of the CCPO and RPO’s posting by using his powers under the Police Ordinance 2016. Previously, these notifications were issued by the establishment department.
