The ‘Azadi Train’, termed a symbol of peace, unity and freedom has been prepared to mark Pakistan's 70th Independence Day. Through the efforts of Pakistan Railways, Ministry of Information and Inter-Services Public Relations the train showcases the diversity of Pakistani culture and the bravery of its armed forces.
Around Pakistan in 30 days: A journey of cultural diversity, history begins
The train departed Thursday from the Margalla Railway Station and will commence its journey from Peshawar on Friday. On the night of August 13, it will come back to Rawalpindi Railway station, after which it will travel to Lahore, Multan, Sukkur, Larkana, Quetta, Karachi and will end its journey on September 11.
