CHAKWAL:
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday met Nargis Gul, who secured high marks in matriculation examinations and announced that the provincial government would now bear all her educational expenses. The 16-year-old girl from an underprivileged background obtained 1,004 out of 1,100 marks in the matriculation exam. During the meeting, CM Sharif appreciated the hard work of Gul and said that the provincial government would also provide free of cost house to Nargis’s family wherever they want in Lahore. He also assured free of cost treatment of the girl’s grand-mother. The chief minister also talked to Gul’s teacher on phone in Chakwal and appreciated her efforts. Gul’s family makes a living by selling bangles.
