Featuring Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari and Andrea Taring in lead roles, Pink is a courtroom drama that depicts the struggles of female rape survivors.
The hard-hitting trailer shows Amitabh as a lawyer arguing the case of three women who are held by the police on murder charges. He is seen asking one of them, "Are you a virgin?"

At the film's trailer launch, Amitabh said about his character, “It is a character that is sympathetic towards what’s happening currently in Delhi and our country,” reports Deccan Chronicle.

He further added, “Pink depicts women empowerment and that’s why it’s called Pink. I read somewhere that women’s bodies are not a democracy and rather a dictatorship, so it’s about time women start dictating. We want to show the power of women in this film.”
