ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have arrested three suspected robbers and recovered stolen jewellery, cash and electrical appliances.

The suspects were identified as Muhammad Shabir, his wife Sonia Shabir, and Imtiaz Hussain.

Stolen items including diamond and gold jewellery sets, silver jewellery, cash and electrical appliances have been recovered.

On May 25, 2016 house of Group Capt Muneer resident of Bahria Town was looted when he along with her wife were in office.

Their servants Muhammad Shabir and his Maid Sonia Shabir informed him
on call that some unidentified robbers burgled their house at gun point and ran away.

Special Investigation Unit of the police, however, found out that the couple had planned the robbery.

During preliminary investigation the suspects disclosed the whole story how they planned it.

The SIU recovered robbed items including diamond and gold jewellery sets, silver jewellery, and a Rado watch, from the custody of servants.

Moreover, the process of recovery of stolen items continue from arrested accused Imtiaz hussain who disclosed another incident of theft in the house of Flight Lt Zeeshan Ahmed in the Industrial Area police jurisdiction.
