Vile: Cleric arrested for sexual assault

Police said he has a history of sexually assaulting children

MULTAN: Haroonabad police said on Tuesday that they had arrested a cleric for raping an eight-year-old in Bahawalnagar. Hassan Imtiaz, the victim’s cousin, a resident of Madina Colony in Haroonabad, said the boy had told his parents he was going to his uncle’s house which was a few blocks away. He was gone for a few hours and the family started panicking. They went looking for him and found him at a construction site where the cleric was raping him.  The cleric had managed to flee. Police said he had a history of sexually assaulting children. “We found several objectionable videos of children in his cell phone. We are trying to locate the families of children he had filmed,” a police spokesperson said.
