The sisters will be competing against 13 other skiers in the event which includes five under-16 players from Pakistan.
The tournament was scheduled to begin yesterday but was postponed due to heavy snowfall which, according to 17-year-old Amina, would help upgrade the slope and allow skiers to get a better chance at showing their talent.
“The Saadia Khan National Cup is the first domestic event that we have in the calendar every year, so it’s very important as it helps one to get to know which skiers are active and who will we face in the next event,” Amina told The Express Tribune. “However, the level of competition in the championship hasn’t improved much.”
The Wali sisters will also be taking part in the Naltar Ski Cup and the 1st Cross-Country Championship that will begin on February 28.
