SHABQADAR: People protested against National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) officials in Ghallanai for delaying the process of issuing CNIC cards and for their alleged involvement in corrupt practices. The demonstrators protested outside the NADRA office on Tuesday and shouted slogans against the staff. On the occasion, one of the protesters Gul told The Express Tribune he had been visiting the NADRA office for the last couple of days but the authorities had failed to even process his request for a CNIC. Similarly, 70-year-old Said Rehman, who came from Karachi said, “I cannot live in Karachi as I don’t have a valid CNIC.” He maintained, “The local agents are facilitating others by taking bribe and we have spent five days outside the office but still we are not registered.”
