Pakistan Railway's divisional superintendent, Nisar Ahmed Memon told The Express Tribune that the first train will leave Karachi's city station at 8pm. The train service, according to him, would have curtains in all the coaches, a public address system, refurbished washrooms and dining cars.
He said that the purpose of the curtains is to ensure the privacy of the passengers. Memon explained that the public address system will be used by an operator on the train to tell the passengers about each station the train arrives at and the expected time the train will take to reach its final destination.
For the fares of the train, he said they would be the same as any other train service; however, there is no business class coach in this particular service. The train service is named after Khushhal Khan Khattak who was a Pashtun nationalist, poet, warrior and scholar.
