Another man shot dead in Sherpao Colony

KARACHI: Two people were shot dead in separate acts of targeted killings in different parts of the metropolis on Saturday.

Ashraf Khan, 25, son of Dukhtar Khan, was shot dead by unidentified men in a firing incident near Indus Plaza within the limits of the Sohrab Goth police station. He was shot at least six times and died on the spot. The body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy.

SHO Aziz Shaikh said that the deceased was a member of a dacoit gang and was apparently shot and killed by his own accomplices over some monetary dispute. The deceased was the resident of the same area. A case has been registered while further investigations are underway.

Separately, a 45-year-old man was shot dead by unidentified men in a targeted attack in Sherpao Colony within the limits of the Quaidabad police station. The deceased was identified as Syed Qaim Shah, son of Miskeen Shah.

SHO Muhammad Ali Marwat said that the deceased hailed from Mansehra and had arrived at Quaidabad to visit his in-laws, adding that he recently got married for the third time, with the daughter of a man, Rafiq Shah. Quoting Shah, the officer said that the victim was apparently shot and killed by the families of his first and second wives.

The police have registered a case and further investigations are underway.
