Ajkla reserved seats: Twenty candidates file papers

MUZAFFARABAD: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Election Commission (AJKEC) on Tuesday received nomination papers of 20 candidates for reserved seats in the legislative assembly.

A total of 14 women candidates have submitted their nomination papers on five seats reserved for women.

The AJK Jamaat-e-Islami chief, Abdur Rashid Turabi, Dr Mushtaq and Abdul Khaliq Wasi submitted nomination papers for a technocrat seat, Ali Raza Bukhari for ulema and mashaikh seat, while Raja Javid and Zubair Kiyani for a seat reserved for overseas Kashmiris.

For five seats reserved for women, 10 candidates of the PML-N and one each candidate of the PPP, the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Party, the All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference have submitted their nomination papers.Polling will be held on July 29th and the results would be announced the same day.
