ISLAMABAD: China Ambassador to Pakistan Sun Weidong said on Tuesday cooperation in the fields of finance, science and technology would hold paramount importance under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in order to reap more social and economic gains for the mutual benefit of people of both the countries. Talking to media after attending the inaugural session of an event titled China-Southern Airlines - Introduction and Recommendation, he said currently the CPEC was mainly focusing on four sectors including infrastructure development and energy generation, which would help in economic progress of both countries. “Cooperation under the CPEC initiative will be extended to other sectors in the future,” he added.
