National language: Urdu is being implemented in various ministries, says PM’s adviser

ISLAMABAD: The government is seriously working on implementation of Urdu as the national language in various divisions and ministries, including all the provinces said Adviser to Prime Minister on National History and Literary Heritage Irfan Siddiqui, on Sunday

Addressing “Qaumi Nifaz-e-Urdu Conference - Pesh Raft and Amli Taqazey” at Aiwan-e-Quaid, organised by the Pakistan Qaumi Zuban Movement (PQZM), he said Urdu was the language, which encapsulated the local customs, traditions and the freedom movement for independence in the subcontinent.

“Urdu is our national asset and a symbol of unity,” he added.

Siddiqui said the adoption of Urdu in the country was imperative to promote it in all spheres of national life.
