ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police have arrested a suspected burglar and recovered valuables worth millions of rupees from his possession, a police spokesperson said.

Imtiaz Hussain, a suspected burglar has been arrested by security officials from Bahria Town Islamabad, on Saturday.

The accused had been involved in two related burglaries in Bahria Town.  The officials recovered Rs36, 500, two digital cameras, jewellery, two Rolex watches, two laptops and tools which are commonly used to burglarize houses.

The burglar struck a house in Bahria Town on March 2 in which the robbers got away with Rs980,000, two digital cameras, a smart phone, one tablet and jewellery.

The accused has confessed to the crimes and other crimes in Lahore and Peshawar as well.

A case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
