According to them, Asad Kharal was arrested by a police patrol on the Sukkur-Shikarpur highway when his car bumped into a police vehicle.
“When police officers on duty asked the driver of the car to step out of the vehicle, he introduced himself as Asad Kharal,” a police official said.
He added that Kharal was arrested along with an associate whose identity is not known.
Police sources said the senior superintendent of Sukkur police has informed senior Rangers officials about Kharal’s arrest. Despite repeated attempts, SSP Amjad Shaikh was unavailable to confirm the development.
