At least four wanted criminals were arrested by the police from Topi, Swabi on Thursday. While speaking to journalists, Swabi DPO Javed Iqbal said, acting on a tip-off, the police team raided a hideout in Topi tehsil and arrested Muhammad Yousaf, Naimatullah, Abdullah and Muhammad Osama. “The suspects were wanted by the police in various cases of militancy.” He maintained the police also seized hand grenades, five 9-mm pistols, three AK-47 rifles and other weapons from their possession. “The accused have been shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.” Earlier on July 18, at least two dacoits were jointly arrested by the police and counter-terrorism department in Swabi. The outlaws were arrested after a brief encounter. Two hand grenades, a Kalashnikov, two pistols and rounds were also seized from their possession.
