Transportation: Malaysian consortium to invest $1b

International Investment Consortium interested in projects based on public-private partnership.

KARACHI: The International Investment Consortium (IIC) of Malaysia has expressed interest in investing $1 billion in projects based on public-private partnership (PPP), which are expected to generate around 10,000 jobs.

A delegation of the consortium, in a meeting with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah at the Chief Minister’s House on Saturday, said it intended to invest in the transportation sector, especially in setting up modern bus terminals and driving institutes in the province.
