Selling out: Auction of govts vehicles held

PESHAWAR: The 81st phase of the auction of government’s old vehicles was held at a warehouse in Dabgari Garden in the city on Tuesday. This was stated in an handout issued on the same day. The administration department presented 68 cars and 34 motorcycles of different make and model for auction. Millions of rupees were added in terms of sale and taxes to the government kitty. Minister for Finance Muzaffar Said, who was heading the auction committee, was present on the occasion. He said only those vehicles which were no more used or which required heavy repair were being auctioned. He added such vehicles were auctioned after completion of all legal requirements to avoid buyers from any sort of hassle. Said assured buyers the government would be fully responsible if any sales related problem was found in documents of the vehicles later on. The minister said positive and negative features of the vehicle should be made clear before they were auctioned.
