Have you been playing Pokémon GO for over a week and tired of finding Pidgey and Zubat? Many players have complained about the lack of variety in wild Pokémon and how difficult it is to locate stronger and rarer Pokémon.

To solve this issue, a new app has been released on iOS called Poké Radar. In fact, this app is one of the hottest apps available on the AppStore right now, while Android users are anxiously waiting for its release.

Pokémon GO servers down, hackers claim responsibility

This app relies on the efforts of the players, as player’s geo tag locations where they encountered wild Pokémon. This location is then available on the map for all players to, along with the time of the encounter, and the name of the trainer who encountered it.

To find Pokémon, the app displays a map with the locations of many rare Pokémon marked in by other players. When a player clicks on a location pin for a Pokémon, the app displays the trainer who marked the location, along with the time of day of the encounter.

India just had its first Pokemon Go event, and the game isn’t even available here

The app also has a rating system. Other players can either vote up or vote down the location, depending on whether they located their desired Pokémon. Hence, users can even tell how reliable a location is for catching a particular Pokémon. Furthermore, the map also offers directions to the pins, making it even easier to get to the desired spot.

The only drawback of the app is reliability. Firstly, due to the overwhelming response this app received, the user limit for the map is often full so users may have to wait for access. Second, the Pokémon in the game are generated at random and locations too shuffle at random. However, within a certain time frame, it is possible to locate a Pokémon you desire at a location marked by another trainer.

So all you trainers download the app today and get back on the hunt for that elusive Gyrados.
